Point of departure is a photograph that Wiktor Pental took in 1953. Workers are lined up prior to the May 1st parade in Nowa Huta (Poland). They are wearing sashes with percentages that show how much their performance was above the norm. 36 sashes bearing different percentages have been reproduced. They are props and can be worn by visitors. This bridges a historical gap. The philosophy of performance in both communist and capitalist systems is under fire.
