Kontinentaldrift
Kontinentaldrift (Continental Drift) unites two entirely different geographies: a 1:10,000 model of the La Jagua coal mine in Columbia and a 1:10,000 model of the headquarters of the Swiss company that owns the coal mine. The reduced scale of the coal mine takes up ½ qm2 and the headquarters in Switzerland approximately 1 cm2. The difference in size amounts to a factor of 5,000. The two scenes are brought together on the stage of a model theater in which the gilded company headquarters play the lead. The mine, ordinarily hidden from view, is suspended on pulleys overhead.
